Gura Porti\u021ba is famous for its wild beaches and picturesque scenery. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gura Porti\u021bei can be reached by crossing the Golovi\u021ba lake, embarking from the port of Jurilovca (the old port). The water trip takes between 25 and 35 minutes, depending on the weather. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1963 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/GuraPortiteiIMG_9766-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/GuraPortiteiIMG_9766-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/GuraPortiteiIMG_9766-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/GuraPortiteiIMG_9766-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/GuraPortiteiIMG_9766-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/GuraPortiteiIMG_9766-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The name <strong>&#8220;Gura Porti\u021bei<\/strong> &#8221; was originally used to designate the communication between the Golovitsa liman and the Black Sea, which was closed in the 1970s, turning Golovitsa into a closed lake.<\/p>\n<p>Discovered in 1736, this authentic corner of paradise was originally a fishing village, and in 1998, the development works began to create the ideal place for the perfect stay.<\/p>\n<p>At Gura Porti\u021bei is attested a z\u0103vod de carmace, because fishing was practiced at Gura Porti\u021bei at sea, for sturgeon, with carmacele. The season began after the old Epiphany, and the fishermen crossed the lake with horse-drawn sledges, sledges with fishing gear and, basically, the preparation of the sturgeon fishing season began. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2194 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-1916-gr-antipa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-1916-gr-antipa.jpg 800w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-1916-gr-antipa-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-1916-gr-antipa-768x521.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Camping Gura Porti\u021bei was built in the late 70s. At first, it was a kind of restaurant, with a round shape and a thatched roof. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Around the restaurant, there were about 30 small houses built over the water, because between the sea and the canal, the sandstone was floodable, as is still the case now on certain stretches. It is that buffer zone between the sea and the lake, which fills with water in spring or when it rains. <\/p>\n<p>Apart from these little houses, which were 2-3 places built above the water, where you could also camp with tents. During busy periods, about 50 to 100 tents were pitched there. Toilets and showers were also above the water.  <\/p>\n<p>The tradition of summer vacations in Gura Porti\u021bei dates back to the 80s.<\/p>\n<p>By 2002 construction of the current tourist resort started, partly on the site of the former fishery. The existing buildings were fitted out for the new functions and the island was also developed. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2195 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-1024x682.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-1024x682.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-768x512.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei-1536x1024.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/visitjurilovca.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/gura-portitei.jpeg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bungalows have been built on the island for those who want to be closer to the delta atmosphere.
