In the past, the main occupation of the Lipovans from Jurilovca was fishing. The custom is still preserved,

as well as the “old” fishing “lotci” and fishing “la navod”.

Weather permitting, Jurilovca’s fishermen take to the water in groups of eight boats in the early hours of the morning, looking for the best places to lay their lines. Sometimes with luck, sometimes not.
