The church in Jurilovca, a church of the old rite, is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin (celebrated on October 14). The approximate year of construction is 1865

Religious holidays here are observed according to the Julian calendar, which is 13 days later than the Gregorian calendar (for example, New Year’s Day is celebrated on January 14).

The most important Lipovenetian religious holiday is the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Pokrov (October 14), the feast day of the whole village

Another important aspect that contributes to the uniqueness of the community is the traditional Lipov Slovene dress, which is obligatory in the Church. The traditional costume is distinguished by its strong colors and shades (red, blue, green) and is especially worn on holidays.

Some pieces of clothing have been modified, others have kept their original function, including the linguistic one: rubașca (men’s shirt), pois (the girdle worn by both men and women), kicika (accessory marking the woman’s marital status), shalika (the kerchief, the shawl worn in church), shupka (church skirt).
