Situated about 4 km from Jurilovca, Doloșman Cape is the only rocky cliff on the Romanian coast, offering spectacular views of Lake Razim and the surrounding area.

The area is part of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve and is home to the ruins of Argamum.

In antiquity, Herodotus referred to the area as “Orgamon”. Cape Doloshman was then a cape of Scythia Minor on the shores of the Euxin Pontus, but later the Razim Liman was formed.

The stone wall of the fortress has a maximum height of 29 meters, but it continues up a very steep hill to a height of 56 meters. This makes it very special in the area, because it’s a very interesting vantage point where very few people go. Most tourists come to Cape Chubby on the beach and at the archaeological site, but the lookout point is a kilometer and a half further.

But the best view of the rocky cliff is from the water in the early morning hours, when it is bathed in sunshine.
