In the village of Zebil, which belongs to the Sarichioi commune, there are the houses of the Moruzov family, including that of Mihail Moruzov, the founder of the Romanian Army Secret Intelligence Service. They are examples of traditional Dobrogean architecture.

During renovation works at the school built by Mihail Moruzov in the village of Zebil in Tulcea County, the foundation document of the school, as well as magazines and newspapers from Romania in the 30s were discovered.

The school in Zebil was inaugurated in 1937, in the presence of the villagers and high-ranking guests from the ministry

Everything in the building is reminiscent of the charm of yesteryear: solid wood furniture, mosaic on the floors, a balcony in the auditorium. The school had a chemistry and biology laboratory, a canteen and a bathroom where pupils were obliged to take a warm bath every week.

Now, a museum of Mikhail Moruzov has been set up in the director’s apartment upstairs.
